Gscatter assets are a perfect combination of stunning models and precise textures. The plants you choose for your projects will always be guaranteed to look great, both close-up and as distant, scattered elements.
What you’ll learn:
A variant group is the method by which we deliver different looks for the assets. Every asset comes with up to 6 different variant groups, such as big, small, old, young, dead, etc., and up to 30 individual models per group. This wide choice enables artists to easily achieve scenes of almost infinite diversity. Render as many different scene variations as you like, each one will be instantly realistic.
We deliver 3 levels of detail for each model, as well as up to 4 different texture resolutions; 2k, 4k, 8k, and 16k depending on the asset.
When you select an asset in the Gscatter Web App, you will be given a choice of 3 different file formats, ready to be dropped into your favourite software.
DCC-Plugins (.fbx): This option can be used with our asset loader plugins to quickly load Gscatter assets into 3ds Max, Maya and Cinema 4D for easy shader setup. Or you can import the fbx files manually into any 3D tool.
Gscatter (.gscatter): Use this option for importing assets directly into the Gscatter add-on for Blender.
Alembic (.abc): Use this option if you want ready-to-import .abc files + textures.
Gscatter assets have been generated with our proprietary pipeline to offer the most precise digital representation. All textures are authored in a reasonably compressed PNG Format, with 16 bits for height data, and 4 different texture resolutions.
We offer texture resolutions from 2k up to 16k for large assets. In order to ensure a standardized and unified texel density for your projects, we provide our textures in pixel per meter (ppm) measures, not in actual pixels.
